Climacteric Symptoms and Cognitive Impairment of Middle Aged Women

Abstract

|
Purpose: This study was done to extend the understanding and knowledge by investigating climacteric symptoms and cognitive impairment of middle aged women.
Methods: This study was conducted from February 4th, 2013 to February 20th, 2013. The data were collected by self-report questionnaires from 104 women and analyzed by using t-test, Pearson correlation, and ANOVA with the SPSS/Win 12.0 program.
Results: The average score for the climacteric symptoms was 13.82. The average cognitive impairment score was 64.34. There was significantly positive correlation between climacteric symptoms and cognitive impairment.
Conclusion: The study suggests that should be considered in developing nursing intervention to manage the climacteric symptoms and cognitive impairment of middle aged women.
